Bezel Set Engagement Rings
The bezel give the feeling of security to the owner especially if you are a woman that lives a very active lifestyle. That is why it is becoming more and more popular. For gems that are really precious and rare, you would want to protect it as much as you can, Bezel set engagement rings do the job.
It is specially fitting, though, to rings with classic or vintage designs. The look of the gem being hugged automatically makes the ring look thick and it also hides the shimmer. That makes the look of the ring to be toned down. It can still be made to look contemporary, of course. I would suggest that you use white gold instead of the traditional yellowish gold.
The bezel solitaire that is slightly raised gives a rock star look. This is perfect for those who are not too girlie. You still have the shimmer on top of the gem that formally tells everyone that is an engagement ring but it doesn't show off too much.
You can also try having three stone and wrapping each with a bezel. It will appear very stylish and maybe even psychedelic if you do not use a white diamond. Try a black diamond or a pink diamond with bezel. That will surely make a statement.
Using other gems such as ruby and sapphire are also very preferred nowadays. Thanks to those many celebrities who are starting to introduce these concepts to the market. Having an eternity ring with different stones instead of one kind with a line of matched bezel setting will be really modern and timeless. I have never seen a design like that but I could already imagine it.
